Before he was Pastor Steve, this lifelong resident of Chicago was Officer Steve, serving as a Chicago policeman for 14 years until being hired at Windy City. Before becoming Senior Pastor in 2000, he served as an Assistant Pastor for four years. Steve graduated cum laude from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2000 with a Master's of Divinity. Eileen Herling Corter
Director of Children Ministries
I was born & raised in Chicago. I have 3 children and really enjoy them being involved in the youth ministry here @ Windy City. As a small child my family attended the NorthSide Gospel Center and my family was very active in the AWANA programs. Looking back on all the creativity that went into getting kids excited to desire & know more about their God & Saviour, I've felt a desire to share in that joy. Creating an atmosphere of wonder and excitement for these kids, while building a solid unshakable foundation of their faith in Christ and watching them grow in it ...what an awesome opportunity!!! I've worn many different hats in the working world; trading clerk, bartender, licensed cosmetologist...this by far is the best hat I'll be putting on and the most fufilling to serve the kids here @ Windy City & in the community!
