  • young adultS COMMUNITY (18 to 20-something)..................

    THE JOURNEY: LIFE GROUP 

    Who: 18 to 29, or the young at heart

    What: Together we open the Bible and discuss our questions on various topics, and consider how faith can practically apply to our daily lives. No Bible experience necessary! All are welcome! 

    Topic: This fall we'll be discussing Hebrews as part of the church-wide focus on this book of the Bible.

    When:  Sundays after church every week. We'll have lunch and good conversation!

    Time: 12noon to 2:00pm on Sundays  Kicks off for fall season on Sunday, Sept. 8th

    Where: At the church, lower level in the Rec Room

  • parenting community................................................................................................

    Families R.O.C.K. (Raising Our Christian Kids)

    Who: Parents and caregivers of children ages 0 through 5.

    WhatPlay time for the kids, plus community-building and discussion time for the parents and caregivers.

    When: Kicks off for fall season on Sunday, September 8, 2019. 

    We meet approx. every 3 weeks; See schedule below.

    Time: We meet at approx. 11:30am (or 10 minutes after the Sunday service ends) for about an hour.

    Topic: This fall we'll be joining in the church-wide Hebrews discussion for group time, as well as talking about parenting issues.

    Where: Windy City church building, lower level in Fellowship Hall

  • IRONMEN (Men's group)..................................................................................

    IronMen is designed to bring Christian men of all ages together in a safe, comfortable setting where they can learn the true, Biblical meaning of manhood and honestly share their challenges and concerns. We are developing committed disciples of men with a passion to grow, serve and love people in Jesus' name. Teaching is conducted in a large group setting while discussion and application take place in smaller groups. 

    When: Saturdays. 

    Time: 7:00am to 8:30am

    *We kick off for the fall season on September 21, 2019.

    Where: Fellowship Hall (Lower level of church)

    Topic: We'll be continuing the "Goliath Must FAll" series from the spring.

    Windy City Stitchers (Wednesdays)

    Who & What: Women and girls of the church and community who love to sew or crochet, or who want to learn. We join together with the residents of Autumn Green. (Each week is different but we always do crafting on the first Wednesday of each month).

    When: Wednesdays 9:30am-Noon.

    Where: Autumn Green, 4239 N Oak Park Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. Meet us in the Craft room; or ask for our location at the reception desk.

    Fiber Fun! (Saturdays)

    Who: Women and girls of the church and community who love to sew, knit, or crochet, or who want to learn

    What: We come together to make projects for the church and community by sewing knitting or crochet. We spend time together in a short devotion and discussion and prayer. We share our finished projects with others in and outside of church.

    When: 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month only:  9:30am - 12pm.

  • CO-ED LIFE GROUPS................................................................................................

    TUESDAY NIGHT: LIFE GROUP FOCUSING ON "BALANCING THE CHRISTIAN LIFE"

    Who: Adults looking for a devoted community, deep Bible teaching, discussion and prayer.

    What: Our discussion topic is "Balancing the Christian Life." Overall, this is a community devoted to knowing each other, praying together and studying Scripture. Teaching time led by Don Fiddler. New friends  welcome anytime!

    When: Tuesdays, starting September 17th

    Time: 7:00pm - 8:45pm

    Where: Park Ridge, at the Fiddler’s home.

    THURSDAY NIGHT: BIBLE STUDY & PRAYER GROUP 

    Who: Anyone interested in growing in friendship and faith; The group is mostly ages 50+ but welcomes anyone of any age who would like to join!

    What: A group of friends who study the Bible together, then pray for each other all the while building community together. This season the group will be studying great aspects of our salvation communicated through key words in the Bible, including:  redemption and justification, while also focusing on understanding Christian growth (sanctification). 

    When: Thursdays, starting September 12th with a "Pot Bless" dinner

    Time: 6:30 - 8:30pm

    Where: In Norridge at the Bislew’s home
